At Artisans of Stone, we specialize in countertops in the Roanoke, VA area. In order to get the best life out of your countertop, we have put together a few cleaning tips to help you out:
- Quartz: If you have a quartz countertop, keep it clean with a warm, damp cloth and mild detergent soap. Quartz countertops very rarely stain, but if yours does, use a glass cleaner to get rid of the stain.
- Laminate: With laminate countertops, make sure that you wipe up spills as soon as you can to prevent staining. Avoid scratches on your countertop by using cutting boards.
- Granite: You should avoid using any abrasive or acidic cleaning products with granite countertops. Just stick with warm water and soap. If you get a stain on your granite countertop, use a cleaning mixture of baking soda and water. Also, be sure to reseal your granite countertops about once a year.
